We are asked many questions prior to and during photo shoots. No question is ever silly. Here is a list of questions that we often get asked, in case you were thinking of the same ones…
Where are you located?
Fine-Photography is an upmarket studio situated at 1015A Pacific Highway, Pymble.
Who is the photographer?
Nicholas Fiennes is the photographer at Fine-Photography. He is a multi award-winning photographer who specialises in his own version of black and white portraits.
How long does a photo shoot take?
We ask that you allow at least 90 minutes for your session.
Is there parking available?
Yes, after 10am weekdays, there is parking right out the front of the building. However, on the rare occasion that there is no parking available, we have spots available at the back of the building for our clients.
Weekends, there are no restrictions to park out the front of the building.
What should we wear?
We encourage clients to wear something that you feel comfortable in and that co-ordinates with the rest of the family.
We suggest that you avoid wearing solid white or clothing with fine stripes, checks or logos.
It’s a great idea to wear long sleeves and long pants/dresses/skirts and dress the whole family for the same season.
For more information on what to wear - see our guide: How to dress for a photo shoot
Is Hair & Make up available?
Yes, Hair & Make up can be arranged for an additional cost.
What happens after my photography session?
After your session, you will be invited back into the studio to view your photos at your personalised in-studio cinematic viewing.
Can I purchase prints?
Absolutely, prints start at $230 for an 8x12 inch print.
We have a wide range of print styles and finishes available, from albums to portrait boxes to large framed layouts and even framed canvases to small acrylic blocks or 8x12 matted prints. Framing options can be discussed at your viewing session.
Can I purchase digital files?
Yes, digital files are available to purchase, but because we specialise in printing your images this is not the most economical way to buy.
Is there a minimum spend?
No, you are not committed to purchasing anything if you don’t love your prints.
I’m not sure what type or size of print/s I’m after…
That’s OK. During your personalised viewing session, Nicholas will discuss your print options, show you samples and discuss frame and print sizes with you.
How long does it take from when I order my prints to when I receive them?
Your order will take between 6-8 weeks from the date it is placed and paid for.
Can I bring my pet into the studio?
Yes. We understand that pets are just as much family members as people, so we would love to include your pet in your family portrait shoot.

Do you only do Family Photography?
No, at Fine-Photography we do family portraits, individual portraits, newborn photography and corporate/executive photography.
My child is very camera shy. Will you still be able to get a ‘good’ family portrait?
Definitely. Nicholas has four children of his own, so knows a thing or two about organising children. He will take the time to let your child warm up to the studio environment and go from there.
